Red Lights
Thousands of girls move every year from the rural inland of Thailand looking for a job and a better life in the big cities. Many of them end up in the red lights districts as prostitutes, in a country infamous for its sex market. Even among the loud music, the large crowds, the noise, the blinding lights, the smiles, the smell of street food and alcohol, a sense of loneliness was transpiring from these womens eyes. Behind the fake smiles and cheers i could feel the sense of desperation, abandonment, of feeling hopelessly lost in those nights. Red lights are the only sun they see, the only artificial colour turned on, In this lifelong night all the colours have been washed out after years of selling their body to unknown people, of broken dreams and a future that will probably bring no change.
